JULY NEWS

VBS GRATITUDE

Many thanks are extended to all the workers who came together for the Vacation Bible School program in June. Each of you are appreciated and so dedicated to the Lord's work. THANK YOU!!

SUMMER FESTIVAL

First Baptist Church is busily preparing for their annual celebration on August 1, 2009 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Great food, Community Information given, outdoor games and activities for children, youth and adults, crafts/arts, musical entertainment featuring Falling Higher, Common Ground, The Gideon Press and much more will be offered. The entire Anderson community is invited.

JOYFUL SUNBEAMS

The Senior Adult group will meet on August 15 to go to Bear Creek for a luncheon and program. Reservations have been taken, monies received for this event. The coordinator for the group is Ella L. Peyton and she informs us there will be a full house.

On September 2 Charity Harvey will provide the program following a luncheon at the church. Cost for the meal is $4.00. Any Senior adult interested should contact the church office for the September meeting.

YOUTH NEWS

The youth are planning on participating at the Lions festival July 1-4 at the Anderson Speedway. Look for their booth at the celebration.

If you are a youth and would like to participate with them, you may call the church office or voicemail Steve.

On July 6, the youth will depart for the Wisconsin Dells. They will return the following Sunday.

AMERICAN BAPTIST WOMENS' NEWS

Any American Baptist woman who would like to join a monthly Bible study group may do so. This month ABW will meet on Saturday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the church. They will be studying the book of Philippians. Make your plans now to attend this great group of women.
